Senior Thesis: Starchild
Being in school when you’re young is incredibly stressful, we all feel forced to abide by social norms in order to avoid negatively standing out. We don’t want to show our vulnerabilities. This 2D animated film is all about accepting and owning your differences with pride, and also realizing that you are not alone. Young students should feel that they are supported by not only their peers, but their teachers as well. From what I’ve witnessed with others, and from personal experiences going through school, I haven’t seen teachers so openly willing to help students, such as by offering support or guidance. I hope that I will give students the confidence to be themselves, and for teachers to stand up for them, giving them the support and guidance they need.

Some of the stuff below, like the storyboards, definitely changed along the line and might not be accurate to the film since I made these changes within the animation itself.
